Goal Ring 7’s, the Inter Company Netball and Football tournament was held on 5th March at CR & FC.
Walkers Tours team became the champions while Jay Kay Marketing team were the Runner Up in the Netball tournament. Gayanga Boteju of Walkers Tours was awarded the Best Shooter and the Best Overall Player award was presented to Sherangi De Aalwis of Walkers Tours.
A record number of 24 teams took part in the Football tournament this year and JKMR “B” bagged the top spot while Cinnamon Red became the Runner Up. The Golden Boot was awarded to Ahmed Ali of JKMR “B” whilst the Best Goal Keeper award was bagged by Khaisham Zakee of JKMR “B”.

Following John Keells Group’s immediate relief efforts via Sirasa Shakthi John Keells Sahana Yathra, the Group has begun a well-cleaning programme as a second phase towards facilitating resettlement process of affected persons. John Keells Foundation is currently funding a mass well cleaning initiative in the Colombo and Gampaha districts with its technical partner Jinasena Pvt. Ltd. and ground support of Sri Lanka Red Cross Society. A total of 245 wells have been cleaned as at Gampaha, Wattala, Kaduwella and Homagama including work undertaken by Group company Ceylon Cold Stores PLC in the vicinity of its factory in Ranala. John Keells will continue to assess the needs affected persons and provide relief where necessary.
